Summary: The Floor Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services at Kuro Bar & Dining in Sydney CBD. This position is, above all, to assist the General Manager in daily floor activities, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth wine knowledge, and a passion for the hospitality industry, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the General Manager in daily operations and floor management
- Oversee floor operations and service standards during shifts
- Lead and support the front-of-house team, providing guidance and training as needed
- Advise guests on wine selections and pairings across our list




- Proactively upsell food and wine items — going beyond order-taking to identify opportunities that enhance the guest experience and drive revenue
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in fine dining
- Strong knowledge of wine and food and beverage service standards
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
