About the Role: Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking qualified Forklift Operators to join our North Fremantle team.

Opportunities available

- 1 position available for an immediate start

- 1 additional position commencing in November 2026

This role is responsible for safely supporting warehouse, production and logistics operations within our processing facility.

Following the application process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a short meet-and-greet with our Facility Operations Manager, including a tour of the facility.

As GFC operates in a highly seasonal industry, flexibility is important. Working hours may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and overtime during peak operational periods.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to load,



unload and transport product and materials throughout the facility.

- Loading and unloading trucks, containers and storage areas.

- Assisting with stock movements, inventory control and storage of products.

- Ensuring products are handled and stored correctly to maintain quality standards.

- Conducting pre-start forklift inspections and reporting any faults or maintenance requirements.

- Working closely with production and logistics teams to support daily operations.

- Maintaining a clean, organised and protected work environment.

- Assisting with general warehouse and operational duties as required.

What You'll Need

Essential requirements

1. Current High Risk Work Licence (LF) is mandatory.

2. Safety – A desire to want to work in a safe environment, to be safety conscious. This position WILL involve contact with live seafood and shellfish products.

3. People – The ability to deal with situations calmly and diplomatically which allows open communication and rapport at all levels of the organisation.

4. Technical– Ability to follow and give instructions in English. Basic numeracy, literacy and reasoning are also required.

Desirable extras

1. Experience – worked in a light-to-medium industry production process workplace (preference given to seafood/meat/dairy).
