SuniTAFE is seeking an experienced and industry-connected Forklift Teacher on a Casual Basis to support the growing demand for forklift training and assessment services in the Swan Hill region. In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality training that equips students with the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to operate safely and effectively in industry settings.

Working closely with the Education Delivery Manager and broader Heavy Automotive and Engineering team, you will contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of forklift short courses across Swan Hill. If you are skilled in Forklift operation, interested in sharing industry expertise and play a key role in addressing local workforce needs, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver and assess forklift short courses in accordance with training package, WorkSafe and RTO requirements.
- Prepare training materials, assessments, validation evidence and associated reporting documentation.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing timely feedback and guidance to maximise engagement and success.
- Ensure safe training practices and effective supervision of students in practical learning environments.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and compliance records.
- Provide individual and group student support and refer learners to additional services where required.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives based on student feedback and program outcomes.
- Support the development and delivery of commercial training opportunities to meet regional industry and workforce needs.

The successful candidate will be required to provide:

- A Nationally Co-ordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- A valid Working With Children Check.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Current forklift license and a minimum of three years’ professional industry experience.
- Current Certificate IV TAE40116/ TAE40122 is essential to this position.
- Successful Working with Children Check and Criminal Record check is mandatory.
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse learner population are required.
- Well-developed skills in teaching
- Ability to deal with tight timelines and conflicting demands.
- Commitment to deliver high-quality programs across a range of qualification levels.
