About the business

Our client is an ASX Perth head officed mining services provider based in East Perth with a solid National and International customer base. The business is seeking an FP&A; Manager to join its finance function.

About the role

Reporting to the CFO, you'll turn operational activity into short-term and multi-year financial plans and give the business the insight it needs to make sound decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work with senior management, operational leaders and the broader finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the annual budgeting process and preparing budget packs and commentary for senior management and the Board
- Maintaining a rolling forecast, with variance analysis and clear commentary
- Developing scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic and commercial decisions
- Owning the standard cost framework and unit economics, including return on capital analysis
- Producing monthly performance and cost analysis, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities




- Owning and improving the business's financial models and planning tools, including identifying opportunities to automate and streamline processes
- Maintaining the integrity of planning and forecasting data in partnership with IT and operations
- Contributing to monthly management and Board reporting
- Leading, guiding and reviewing the work of a commercial analyst

About you

- CPA or CA qualified
- Solid experience in FP&A;, management accounting or commercial finance
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build financial models from scratch
- Strong understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present financial information to non-finance audiences
- Collaborative, solutions-focused and able to manage competing priorities
- Team leadership experience and experience in asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded
