Capital Lens is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Fractional CFO to join our growing advisory practice. This is a unique opportunity for a senior finance professional who enjoys partnering with business owners, driving operational improvements, and delivering strategic outcomes across a diverse portfolio of clients.

We work closely with businesses undergoing growth, transformation, acquisitions, succession planning, and operational improvement initiatives. Our clients span engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, and skilled service sectors.

About the Role

As a Fractional CFO, you will work alongside business owners, CEOs, and executive teams to provide strategic financial leadership without the cost of a full-time CFO. You will help clients improve profitability, strengthen cash flow, enhance reporting, and support key commercial decisions.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple businesses.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the trusted financial advisor to business owners and executive teams.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
- Develop board and management reporting packs.
- Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and business transformations.
- Drive operational and commercial improvements across client businesses.
- Improve financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance and profitability.
- Assist clients with banking, funding, and stakeholder management.




- Support growth strategies and succession planning initiatives.

About You You are a commercially focused finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with practical business acumen.

Essential Experience

- Previous CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership experience.
- Strong background in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or service-based businesses .
- Demonstrated ability to influence business strategy and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to think creatively and challenge conventional approaches.
- Robust commercial mindset with a hands-on attitude.
- Experience presenting to boards, executives, and business owners.

- ASX-listed company experience.
- Experience leading business transformation projects.
- M&A;, integration, and succession planning experience.
- Exposure to ERP implementations and business intelligence platforms.
- Experience working as a consultant, advisor, or fractional executive.
