The Rigby is a cafe, bar & bistro located in Maitland. We take pride in providing warm, friendly service & our team works hard to ensure our patrons have an enjoyable experience in our venue.

As ours is a small team, we all work together to ensure the venue runs smoothly, as such the role will encompass a variety of aspects. Here's a brief snapshot of some of the duties for this role:

Responsibilities

- Greet and seat customers upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Present menus to customers and answer any questions regarding menu items and specials.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and professionally.
- General front of house cleaning duties.
- Ensure tables are properly set
- Monitor tables and promptly address any customer needs or concerns.
- Drink preparation e.g. smoothies, fresh juice & milkshakes




- Worth with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and accurate order delivery.
- Process customer payments and issue accurate change.
- Maintain a clean and organised work workplace, including the dining area, dishes area & service stations
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Requirements:
- Valid RSA
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication abilities and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and stay composed under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings & weekends as required.

Pay: $26.44 – $46.52 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
