About the Role
As part of the team at Baz and Shaz Fruit and Veg you’ll be helping to keep our store running smoothly and our produce looking its best. Your day will be active and varied — no two shifts are the same!
Key responsibilities:
- Unloading pallets of fresh produce, lifting and stacking fruit and vegetable deliveries (repetitive heavy lifting required)
- Maintaining fresh, attractive displays and rotating stock
- Assisting customers with friendly, efficient service
- Serving of customers using our POS and EFTPOS systems
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
- Supporting the team with general store duties
- Assisting in setting up and closing of store.
About You
We’re after someone who’s
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and repetitive tasks, even on the hot summer days.
- Hard-working, reliable, and able to keep up in a busy environment
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to start early and finish late depending on the shift and have weekend availability.
- Full availability through the Xmas/New Year Period
- Minimum 6 month commitment
- Previous retail or produce experience is a bonus, but not essential — training provided!
- Barista experience also a bonus
