We’re looking for a qualified Commis Chef to join our kitchen team, with the opportunity to grow into a Chef de Partie role as you develop.

We’re a busy, independent neighbourhood bar in Doubleview, known for good food, craft beer and wine, and a kitchen that likes to have a bit of fun while taking the food seriously. We’ve been previously recognised by the WA Good Food Guide, including Best Bar Dining, and we’re always looking to keep pushing the food forward.

You’ll be joining an experienced kitchen team heading into a busy summer, making this a great opportunity for a Commis Chef looking to build their skills, gain more responsibility and work towards running their own section.

THE ROLE

- Full-time 40 hours per week
- Wednesday – Sunday availability required
- Working alongside our Head Chef and experienced kitchen team
- Supporting preparation and service across the kitchen
- Developing your skills and confidence across different sections
- Working with fresh, seasonal produce and an evolving menu
- Taking on more responsibility as your skills develop
- Working towards progressing into a CDP position
- Maintaining strong food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards

ABOUT YOU





We’re looking for a qualified Commis Chef with a good foundation who is ready to keep learning and take the next step.

You’ll ideally

- Have completed your commercial cookery qualification
- Have some experience working in a professional kitchen
- Have a solid understanding of kitchen fundamentals and service
- Be keen to learn and develop your skills
- Be looking for a venue where you can grow rather than simply clock in and out
- Be reliable, organised and willing to get stuck in
- Work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Take pride in your food and want to keep improving

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the attitude and ambition to grow into a CDP role. You don’t need to be ready to run a section on day one — we have an experienced team around you and the opportunity to build the skills and confidence to get there. With summer approaching, it’s a great time to join the team, get stuck into a busy season and start building your next step in the kitchen.
