About the role

Working alongside a team of qualified Electrical Fitters and Tradespeople, you will assist in the mechanical assembly and wiring of custom electrical switchboards. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role perfect for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and a desire to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in assembling, wiring, and fitting-off electrical switchboards and distribution boards

- Prepare materials, components, and tools required for switchboard building projects

- Install components including breakers, relays, busbars, cabling systems, and protection devices

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings

- Complete panel layout and internal wiring in line with design documentation

- Perform functional and operational checks

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

- Assist in process improvements and standardisation

About you

- Prior experience as an Electrical TA, production assembler,



or in a similar sheet metal/electrical manufacturing environment

- Confident using hand and power tools (drills, riveters, pneumatic tools, hydraulic crimpers)

- Ability to read and interpret basic layout drawings

- Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the physical capability to handle workshop duties

- Punctual, reliable, and bring a positive attitude to the workshop

- Ability to follow instructions clearly
