We are looking for an experienced Gaming Manager to join the team at the Longyard Hotel.

About the Venue The Longyard Hotel is one of Tamworth’s best-known venues and a popular destination for locals, visitors and country music fans from across Australia.

Located behind the famous Golden Guitar, the Longyard offers quality dining, live entertainment, open verandahs, an outdoor beer garden, bottle shop and gaming room.

It’s a busy, fast-paced venue with a strong focus on hospitality, entertainment and great customer service.

About the Role The Longyard Hotel is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Gaming Manager to oversee all aspects of our gaming operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is organised, confident leading a team and understands the importance of compliance, customer service and attention to detail.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the gaming room, while working closely with the Venue Manager and wider management team to ensure the gaming department operates efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operation of the gaming room, including poker machines, TAB and KENO
- Oversee cash handling, reconciliations and reporting
- Ensure all gaming operations comply with relevant legislation, regulations and venue procedures
- Maintain a strong focus on responsible gambling and customer wellbeing
- Ensure all gaming records, procedures and compliance requirements are maintained accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, professional and welcoming gaming environment
- Manage gaming room presentation,



maintenance and day-to-day operational requirements
- Monitor gaming performance and work with venue management to achieve business objectives
- Assist with audits, inspections and compliance requirements
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a consistent customer experience across the venue

About You We are looking for someone who:

- Has proven experience managing gaming operations within a licensed venue
- Has strong leadership and team management skills
- Has a thorough understanding of poker machine systems, CRTs, TAB and KENO
- Is highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented
- Has a solid understanding of gaming compliance and responsible gambling
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is confident working in a busy, fast-paced venue

- Current RSA, RCG & ARCG
