About Us

Darbar Cafe is a fast-paced, high-volume venue in Mirrabooka known for exceptional food, vibrant atmosphere, and consistent service. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead daily operations, drive store profitability, and build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to maintain high service standards, food quality, and compliance.
- Financial Management: Manage wage targets, labour scheduling, COGS, and operational overheads to maximize bottom-line profit.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor floor and kitchen staff, fostering a positive, fast-paced work culture.
- Customer Experience: Drive customer satisfaction, manage feedback swiftly, and ensure consistent service delivery during peak periods.
- Inventory & Compliance: Oversee stock control, supplier ordering, food safety management, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume,



busy hospitality environment (restaurant or large-scale cafe).
- Financial Acumen: Proven track record of managing P&L; statements, rosters, labour percentage targets, and cost of goods sold.
- Leadership: Strong team-building skills with a hands-on approach during peak operational hours.
- Systems & Operations: Proficiency with contemporary POS systems, digital rostering platforms, and inventory software.
- Compliance: Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Approved Manager certification (or state equivalent).
- Flexibility: Availability to work weekend, morning, and peak trading shifts as required.
