Join the Central Coast Local Health District Switchboard team as a Casual Switchboard Operator and become a vital connection point for patients, staff, health services and emergency response teams across the Central Coast.

About the Opportunity

Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our Switchboard team is at the heart of communications across Gosford, Wyong, Woy Woy and Long Jetty, helping make sure the right information gets to the right people when it matters most.

You will be part of a team that provides critical communications support around the clock - managing a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, operating paging and communication systems and maintaining on-call rosters. In this role you will:

- Be the vital connection between patients, staff, clinicians and services across the Central Coast.
- Respond to urgent situations with calm, clear and confident communication.
- Operate paging, radio and telephone systems to keep critical communications moving.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to outstanding customer service.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and confidently manage challenging or sensitive situations.




- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately manage information and on-call rosters.
- Confidence using technology, with the ability to quickly learn paging, radio and communication systems.
- Ability to work at 24/7 roster.
