We are seeking a Location Manager (Coxswain Required) to support operations at our Gold Coast, Isle of Capri location.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, managing a team, driving operational performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences on the water.

About the Role

As Location Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the Gold Coast site, ensuring smooth operations, strong safety culture, and consistently high guest satisfaction.

You will lead the local team, manage fleet operations, and oversee all aspects of the customer experience from check-in through to return.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and wants to take ownership of a growing marine tourism operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all safety systems, procedures, and marine regulations
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of part time and casual crew
- Drive a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and guest experience
- Deliver engaging safety briefings and boat demonstrations
- Ensure every guest has a safe and memorable experience on the water
- Oversee daily operations including bookings, departures, and docking
- Manage rostering, staffing levels, and operational efficiency
- Respond to incidents and troubleshoot operational issues when required
- Conduct on-water patrols using support vessels
- Maintain fleet presentation, cleanliness, and general upkeep
- Oversee basic maintenance coordination and report fleet issues
- Manage stock control,



reporting, and daily operational administration
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local businesses and stakeholders
- Support local marketing initiatives and guest engagement opportunities

What You’ll Bring

Essential Requirements

- Coxswain Grade 3 or Exemption 38
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Strong customer service experience
- Proven leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a site
- Current driver’s licence
- Availability to work weekends
- A passion for the water and outdoor tourism

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience in marine tourism or hospitality
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team
- Mechanical or technical troubleshooting skills
- Confident working around boats and marine equipment
- Experience in small business or site-level operations
- Practical experience with vessel handling and waterfront operations
