Governance Lead

- Ongoing Full time
- Clerk Grade 9/10
- Package up to $166,549 pa. Package includes salary range ($133,348 pa to $146,945 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- Hybrid work from our office in Greenacre and remotely.

About the role: Lead delivery, compliance and continuous improvement of Community Safety regulatory programs by providing specialist legislative and operational advice, strengthening governance and data integrity, and improving business systems and processes across Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS), Automatic Fire Alarms (AFA), Hazmat, User Pays and related programs.

About you:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, regulations and policy within a regulatory, compliance or government environment.
- Experience leading or contributing to business improvement initiatives, including process, system and workflow enhancements.
- Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations, including written reports.

Essential Requirements:

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline (e.g. law, public policy, compliance, business or similar).
