Growth Lead (Part-time, 4 days)
Sydney (Hybrid, 2 to 3 days in office)
$95,000 to $105,000 base + Super + Performance Bonus
Open to employment or contract
We are a fast-moving, for-purpose tech company solving one of the world's most underaddressed problems: social isolation and loneliness for people with disability, the elderly, and those in aged care. We connect vulnerable people with trusted, affordable support, and we need someone who can make sure the people who need us can actually find us.
The role
This is the person who owns our growth. One morning you might be in Google Ads working out why a campaign is costing twice what it should. That afternoon you're rebuilding a CRM journey because families are dropping off between enquiry and first booking. The next day you're deciding which channel gets more budget next month, and which one gets switched off.
You will work across both sides of our community: the members and families who use Like Family, and the Social Carers who support them. You'll own acquisition, CRM and lifecycle, and measurement, and you'll be accountable for the numbers.
This is not a role for someone who wants a list of tasks. We have channels that are working well and channels that aren't pulling their weight. We need someone who can look at the data, work out quickly what's broken, fix it, and then find where the next growth comes from. You'll set the plan and do the work.
What you will actually do
- Own paid and digital acquisition: budgets, targeting, optimisation and forecasting across Google, Meta and whatever else earns its place
- Run our CRM and lifecycle marketing for members, families and carers: journeys, nurture, segmentation and lead management
- Test constantly: audiences, offers, cadence, journeys and calls to action, and act on what you learn
- Own measurement: cost per acquisition, conversion, activation, retention and return by channel, with tracking you can trust
- Turn the numbers into clear decisions: what's working, what isn't, and where we should put the next dollar
- Set growth targets with our leadership team and be accountable for hitting them
- Work with our Brand and Content Manager, who owns messaging and content,
and our Digital Marketing Coordinator, who runs SEO and social. You take what they create and turn it into measurable growth
Who you are
- You have 5+ years in growth or performance marketing, in-house or agency, and you've taken over channels that weren't working and turned them around. Experience in NDIS, aged care, disability or a two-sided marketplace is a bonus, not a requirement.
- You own results: you don't wait to be told what to do. You make decisions, back them with data, and tell us when something should stop
- You think commercially: you care about cost per booking and lifetime value, not clicks and impressions
- You're hands-on: comfortable inside ad platforms, GA4 and CRM and marketing automation tools like HubSpot or Zoho, and happy to do the work yourself
- You're clear: you can explain what the numbers mean to people who don't live in dashboards
- You're coachable and low ego: you take feedback well, share what you know, and make the people around you better
- You currently live in Sydney, or are in Australia and willing to relocate to Sydney
Why you'll love this role
- Real ownership: you set the growth plan, you control the budget, and your decisions actually get made
- A growth problem worth solving: a trusted brand, a huge community of carers, and plenty of room to improve how people find and stay with us
- Work that matters: every family you help find us is someone who's less alone
- 4 days a week with flexible hours: a senior role that still leaves room for the rest of your life
- Performance bonus tied to acquisition and revenue targets
- Work directly with our founders and leadership team, with no layers in between
- Hybrid, 2 to 3 days at Stone & Chalk Scaleup Hub, 4 mins from Central station
- Loyalty Leave:
an extra day off for every work anniversary
Who we are
- We're a tight-knit team of genuine, decent people who actually care: about the mission, about the people we serve, and about each other. We're not a team that pretends to have valuable culture. We actually do.
- We are flat and transparent. No politics, no layers to navigate, no one hoarding information. You will know what is going on in the business, have a real say in how things are done, and work directly with our founders and leadership team every day.
- We are low ego and highly supportive. Everyone here is excellent at what they do and no one is precious about it. We help each other, celebrate each other, and hold each other to a high standard, kindly.
- We are genuinely passionate about solving this problem. Everyone on this team chose to be here because they want to do something about loneliness and social isolation, not just work somewhere with a nice purpose statement.
- And we are pretty fun! We have lunch together every week, grab coffee together, and head out for team drinks and activities. We're a team that actually enjoys spending time together.
A bit about us
- Over 1.8 million hours of care and connection delivered across Australia
- More than 120,000 people have signed up to become Carers
- NDIS registered provider for over 10 years, operating nationwide
- Ranked #4 fastest-growing tech company in Australia (Deloitte Technology Fast 500 APAC, 2018)
Diversity and inclusion We strongly encourage applications from people with disability and from those with lived experience of aged care or disability services, whether as a participant, a carer, or a family member. That experience is genuinely valued here, not just welcomed.
