The Opportunity

Now you’re ready for your next step.

We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Tax Accountant who wants to grow — someone who is ready to move beyond simply preparing tax returns and start developing their skills in tax planning, business advisory, strategy and commercial conversations.

You don’t need to know it all.

You just need to be willing to learn.

We’ll mentor you, support you and give you opportunities to develop the skills and confidence to become the accountant business owners want in their corner.

You will:

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs

Develop your skills in tax planning and strategic tax advice

Identify issues, risks and opportunities within clients’ financial results

Help clients understand what their numbers are really telling them

Work with business owners on cashflow, profitability, financial performance and better decision-making

Develop your skills in business advisory, strategy and commercial conversations

Build trusted relationships with clients who value having an accountant genuinely invested in their success





Work alongside and learn from experienced accountants and advisors

Contribute ideas and expertise to continually improve how we help our clients

Work from our Blaxland office, surrounded by a connected, energetic and team-focused workplace

Who are we looking for?

We’re not necessarily looking for someone who already has the title Senior Accountant.

We’re looking for someone who has the potential and desire to become one.

You have a solid foundation in accounting and tax, take pride in your work and want to keep learning.

You’re curious about the business behind the numbers.

You want to understand why one business thrives while another struggles. You enjoy talking to clients, asking questions, solving problems and finding opportunities.

You don’t just want to lodge the return.

You want to understand what the numbers mean and help the client make better decisions because of what you’ve uncovered.

A degree in Accounting or a related field

CPA/CA qualification or significant progress towards it

Energy, enthusiasm and a desire to take the next step

Strong Australian tax and accounting experience

At least 3 years’ experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for SME entities

Experience and confident using Xero – this is essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Confidence or a willingness to grow your confidence communicating with clients

The ability to support and collaborate with other team members

A willingness to ask questions, challenge thinking and learn





Genuine curiosity about business and what makes businesses successful

Experience reviewing SMSFs is desirable.
