About the Role n

We're partnering with a well-established business in Melbourne's inner suburbs to find a hands-on Financial Accountant for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a genuine view to permanency. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the numbers end to end and wants to land somewhere they can grow.

Responsibilities n

n
- Own the full accounting cycle - preparing and posting journals, running month-end close, and producing accurate management reports and financial statements
n
- Take charge of balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity, while assisting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to keep the day-to-day ticking over
n
- Support BAS lodgements, tax and compliance obligations, and cash flow forecasting,



partnering with the wider finance team to sharpen processes and controls
n

Skills nn
- Proven experience in an end-to-end accounting or financial accountant role
n
- Chartered training desired
n
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards, backed by strong reconciliation skills, intermediate to advanced Excel, and confidence picking up new systems quickly (Xero, MYOB, SAP or similar)
n
- A proactive, roll-up-the-sleeves operator with sharp attention to detail
n
- Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role as this is a temporary to permanent opportunity
