About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Hairstylist to join the Polly Hair team on a casual basis, commission or rent a chair. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic salon environment where you can showcase your skills and passion for hair design. As a Hairstylist, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding hair services to our diverse clientele in Murwillumbah, NSW.

This position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to contribute to our salon's continued success and reputation for excellence.

What you'll be doing

- Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences and concerns, and providing professional recommendations

- Performing a full range of hair services including cutting, styling, colouring, treatments and blow-dries to the highest standards

- Maintaining excellent hygiene and health and safety standards throughout all salon procedures

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

- Keeping up to date with current hair trends, techniques and products





- Contributing to a positive and cooperative team setting

- Managing your own appointment schedule effectively

- Maintaining salon cleanliness and organisation

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification or certification in hairdressing and/or styling

- Proven experience working as a hairstylist in a professional salon environment

- Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, styling and other hair treatments

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to client needs
- A creative mindset with an eye for detail and precision

- Professional approach to health, safety and hygiene standards

- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work casual hours as required
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service

- Knowledge of current hair trends and techniques is desirable
