About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable handyman to join our growing property maintenance company, specialising in maintenance, repairs and modifications across NDIS properties.
We need someone who knows what they are doing and can work independently from day one. This is a hands-on role requiring someone with fundamental handyman skills, practical experience and the ability to complete jobs without constant supervision or training.
You must be confident using tools, identifying problems and completing maintenance work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Removing and replacing internal doors, including installing hinges, handles and locks.
- Installing toilet grab rails, shower grab rails and other accessibility fixtures.
- Removing existing glass shower screens and replacing them with shower curtain rails and curtains.
- Patching plaster, repairing damaged walls and preparing surfaces for painting.
- Painting walls, doors and other internal surfaces.
- Completing general property maintenance, repairs and minor modifications.
- Identifying maintenance issues and determining the appropriate repair method.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in handyman work, property maintenance, building maintenance or a related trade.
- Strong practical knowledge of general repairs, installations, plastering and painting.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools confidently.
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs without needing to be taught basic handyman skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to communicate respectfully with NDIS participants, support workers and property managers.
Experience working in disability accommodation or NDIS properties will be highly regarded but is not essential.

This is not an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who already has the necessary skills and experience to complete the work. You must be able to attend a property, assess the required maintenance and carry out the job with minimal supervision.
All accessibility and safety-related installations must be completed in accordance with the relevant requirements, with licensed or qualified tradespeople engaged where necessary.
