ConsMin produces some of the world’s highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two-hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicants will be required to:

- Live the ConsMin Values through safe behaviours, compliance with site procedures, and adherence to life-saving rules.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in the pit and field environments, ensuring safe and efficient fault diagnosis and repair.
- Carry out in-pit maintenance and breakdown support on a mobile fleet including Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment
- Perform fault finding under operational conditions, often in high-pressure situations to minimise downtime and production impact.
- Execute repairs on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in the field.
- Conduct planned maintenance tasks in the field where required to support operational continuity.
- Liaise closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to prioritise and coordinate breakdown response activities.
- Ensure all work is completed to OEM standards and site requirements, with accurate reporting of defects and repairs.




- Maintain high housekeeping standards in field work areas and ensure all work is conducted safely in dynamic mining conditions.
- Operate service vehicles and field equipment in accordance with site procedures.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Minimum C class drivers’ licence
- Current National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months)
- Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Ability to understand and interpret OEM manuals and hydraulic/ pneumatic
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Product knowledge of Caterpillar (6020B, D10T, 16M, 789C’s + D’s & 777G) and Hitachi (EX1200, EX3600)
- Solid commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Air Conditioning Ticket is an advantageous
