As a HD Mechanic OR Mobile Plant Mechanic in Carey Mining’s Mobile Maintenance team, you’ll play a key role supporting major mining projects across the Goldfields region.

This opportunity is ideally suited to experienced Maintenance Tradespeople with strong mobile plant and mine site experience. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, inspections, fault diagnosis and equipment adjustments on a range of heavy mobile plant and mining equipment.

Working either in the workshop or in the field, you will utilise relevant diagnostic tools, test equipment and specialised tooling to ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest professional standards.

These roles are available on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth or residentially based in Laverton, offering long-term employment stability and the opportunity to be part of a growing operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, service and repair mobile plant and equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Identify hazards, complete risk assessments and implement appropriate safety controls




- Maintain compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Keep workshop and work areas clean, safe and well organised

What We’re Looking For:

- MUST HAVE: Australian recognised Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Experience with field service repairs, preventative maintenance and fault diagnostics
- Must hold a valid HR Licence;
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi earthmoving equipment
- Experience with Hino, Isuzu ,Tatra Water Carts and Service Trucks
- Air Conditioning license – desirable
- National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months)
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol Screen
