We are looking for an experienced Head of Sustainability, Quality & Compliance to lead the next chapter of our social and environmental responsibility program, Crafting a Better Future, while providing leadership across our established Quality function and product and supply chain compliance.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, this is a broad and influential leadership role at the intersection of sustainability, craftsmanship, product quality and responsible business.

Key Responsibilities You’ll lead a talented, technically diverse team and work across the business to ensure our sustainability ambitions, product quality and compliance standards continue to support the R.M.Williams promise of genuine craftsmanship and enduring quality.

Your Role Will Include

- Setting the roadmap and leading the delivery of Crafting a Better Future, our social and environmental responsibility program
- Taking sustainability initiatives from strategy through to practical, embedded ways of working across the business
- Leading sustainability reporting, certifications and disclosures, including climate reporting, Modern Slavery reporting, B Corp and our Impact Report
- Overseeing greenhouse gas accounting, climate risk and opportunity assessments, scenario analysis and other sustainability measurement
- Leading our approach to supply chain traceability and material verification
- Providing leadership and oversight to our established Quality function across manufacturing, finished goods, repairs and returns
- Partnering with Design, Product Development and Production to embed quality from concept through to delivery
- Overseeing product and supply chain compliance, including responsible sourcing, product safety and labelling requirements across our markets
- Staying ahead of emerging regulatory requirements and helping the business prepare for change
- Building robust relationships with suppliers, auditors, testing partners, certification bodies and industry partners




- Exploring how technology, data and AI can improve visibility, decision-making and efficiency across sustainability, quality and compliance
- Leading, coaching and developing your team while building capability, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement

About you You’re someone who can see the bigger picture but isn't afraid to get into the detail. You'll bring strong technical capability and commercial judgement, alongside the ability to influence people across a complex organisation and turn ambitious standards into practical ways of working. Ideally, You'll Bring

- Significant experience across sustainability and product and supply chain compliance, including experience leading and developing a technically diverse team
- A proven track record of taking sustainability programs beyond strategy and pilots and embedding them into business-as-usual
- Experience building the standards, frameworks, controls and governance needed to support strong sustainability and compliance outcomes
- Strong quantitative capability across areas such as greenhouse gas accounting, life cycle assessments and decarbonisation measurement
- Experience across product safety, labelling, consumer law and responsible sourcing obligations, ideally across multiple markets
- Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, from technical specialists and suppliers through to senior leaders
- A practical, resilient and solutions-focused approach

Experience working with apparel, footwear, leather, cotton or other materials-led products would be highly regarded, as would familiarity with standards and certifications such as LWG, RWS, GOTS and OCS. And yes, if you genuinely love a spreadsheet, you'll probably feel quite at home here.
