nOn behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join their professional transport team. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, capable of managing the transportation of high-quality agricultural and horticultural products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in vehicle operation, load management, and delivery coordination, ensuring the safe and timely movement of goods while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer service.n

nKey Duties & Responsibilitiesn
nVehicle Operation & Safety Managementn
n• Execute precise manoeuvring and positioning of vehicles for efficient loading and unloading operations at various facilities including farms, processing plants, and distribution centresn
n• Conduct comprehensive pre-departure vehicle inspections and regular quality checks, identifying and reporting any maintenance requirements or safety concerns to ensure roadworthinessn
n• Operate vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies,



maintaining impeccable driving standards and professional conduct at all timesn
n• Monitor vehicle performance throughout shifts, completing necessary documentation and reporting any operational issues promptly to the maintenance teamn
n
nLoad Management & Securityn
n• Expertly operate specialized lifting and tipping equipment for loading and unloading vehicles, following established procedures to maintain product quality and integrityn
n• Calculate and verify load weights to ensure compliance with vehicle limitations and regulatory requirements, optimizing load distribution for safe transportationn
n• Implement secure stowage methods and appropriate covering systems to prevent product loss, damage, or contamination during transit, particularly for sensitive agricultural productsn
n• Conduct thorough load condition assessments before departure and upon arrival, documenting any discrepancies and maintaining product quality throughout the delivery chainn

nDocumentation & Compliancen
n• Verify and process all loading documentation, ensuring accuracy of consignment details, delivery instructions, and special handling requirementsn
n• Obtain and complete delivery certifications, maintaining clear and precise records of all transactions and customer acknowledgmentsn
n• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure efficient scheduling and routing, communicating any delays or issues that may impact delivery timelinesn
n• Maintain current knowledge of transport regulations, company policies,



and industry best practices to ensure full compliance in all operational activitiesn

nCustomer Service & Team Coordinationn
n• Represent the company professionally during customer interactions, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery-related issues promptly and effectivelyn
n• Collaborate with loading crews, warehouse staff, and management to optimize operational efficiency and maintain smooth workflow processesn
n• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of transport operations and customer service standardsn
n• Support team members during peak periods and assist with training of new staff when required, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environmentn

nEssential Qualifications & Experiencen
n• Current Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (HR class minimum) with excellent driving recordn
n• AQF Certificate II in Transport & Logistics or equivalent qualification, combined with minimum 1-year full time experience in a similar driving rolen
n• Demonstrated experience in load restraint, vehicle inspection procedures, and delivery documentationn
n

n• Excellent spatial awareness and vehicle handling skills with ability to manoeuvre large vehicles in confined spacesn
