We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our energetic team in Brisbane, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll regulations and practices within the financial services industry, contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of our payroll operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining and managing five (5) fortnightly payrolls, covering approximately 450 employees

Processing EFT payments for Wages, Group Tax and Payroll Tax

Completing end of month tasks e.g. General Ledger Balance, superannuation integration and journals

Preparing and delivering reports for Management

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EBAs, awards and payroll legislation

You will also assist with general HR team administration and ad hoc tasks as required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role in a medium size organisation





Proven capability in end of month procedures and knowledge of General Ledger reconciliation

Previous experience working with Employment Hero preferred

Working knowledge of Great Plains accounting software and Microsoft Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills; and

Sound knowledge of relevant awards and legislation including taxation and superannuation.
