Romeos Best Farms is one of Australia’s largest privately owned table grape producers. Based in Mareeba QLD, A&L; Romeo Pty Ltd is seeking a full time qualified Horticulture Grower.

The salary offered is $134,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

- Monitoring the growing conditions of vine to identify the optimum humidity, moisture, temperature and other cultivation procedures to ensure the suitability of the quality control systems
- Undertaking fertigation and moisture management
- Overseeing all vine and plantings throughout the production cycle to ensure all tasks are routinely performed in accordance with the standard as per the requirement
- Planning the irrigation, fertilisation, weed, and pest & disease control schedules to ensure the work is completed as per crop requirement
- Determining the optimal plant nutrition, health and overall quality.




- Ensuring the production schedules are met for each step in a timely manner for all plantings, growing and harvesting.
- Monitoring crop health and fruit maturity to forecast volume and quality
- Work alongside with external agronomists, agriculture technologist and consultants.

The applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- AQF Certificate III or IV in the horticulture, viticulture or in a related field
- Extensive grower experience with knowledge in crop health, production procedure and pest control
- Computing/administration skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
- Driver’s licence
