JOB TITLE: Housekeeper

JOB TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: Goldfields Hotel Motel, Tennant Creek NT

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Clean and prepare motel guest rooms and bathrooms to the property's required hygiene and presentation standards.

· Make beds, replace linen and towels and replenish guest-room amenities and supplies.

· Clean floors, surfaces, fixtures and fittings and remove waste from guest rooms.

· Inspect rooms for damage, maintenance issues, missing items or safety hazards and report these promptly to management.

· Clean designated motel public and service areas as rostered.

· Handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, linen and waste safely and in accordance with workplace procedures.

· Maintain housekeeping trolleys, storerooms and supplies in an orderly condition and advise management when stock requires replenishment.

· Coordinate with management regarding room status, priority cleans,



guest arrivals and other accommodation requirements.

· Assist with laundry and linen handling where required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: No formal qualification required; Certificate II in Hospitality (SIT20322), commercial cleaning or chemical-handling training is desirable.

Experience: Previous commercial housekeeping, motel/hotel cleaning or similar accommodation experience is desirable.

Skills:

· Guest-room cleaning and bed making

· Attention to cleanliness and presentation

· Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment

· Productive room turnaround

· Reliability and ability to identify maintenance issues

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
