About the role

Join our agile team in a fast-paced, hospitality business. This role will be responsible for supporting and delivering the full range of human resource activities across the company, ensuring all people-related standards and targets are met. Provides strategic, innovative, and efficient HR guidance while helping to build, strengthen, and uphold the organisation's culture and reputation.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in managing employee relations matters (misconduct, inappropriate behaviour), including documentation, coordination, and liaison with external bodies when required, as per Fair Work provisions, Award compliance requirements and relevant legislation
- End-to-end recruitment and onboarding functions
- Support the implementation of human resources strategies, activities, procedures, systems, and plans to help achieve people-related objectives and KPI's
- Collate and prepare reports on HR activities, performance indicators, and outcomes
- Assist with preparing and maintaining monthly HR reporting
- Monitor underperformance trends, identify potential root causes, and support managers in planning appropriate improvement actions
- Assist in the development and delivery of approved HR plans, including succession planning initiatives, in partnership with relevant departments
- Contribute to culture-building initiatives and promote company values through day-to-day interactions and HR practices
- Support all staffing, recruitment,



and selection activities to ensure timely and efficient hiring, including preparing and updating position descriptions
- Support employee induction, onboarding, training coordination, and development initiatives

About you

- Tertiary education essential, with a major in human resource management or a business-management related discipline
- Minimum 2 years Human Resource experience in a similar role, Hospitality Industry experience a plus
- Motivated individual, looking to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Award compliance and Fair Work provisions, including relevant legislation
- Proven significant direct accountability for delivering people standards and targets essential
- Deep understanding of all facets of modern human resource management especially culture management, staffing, recruitment, and selection including induction, orientation, training, talent management and development, performance management, job evaluation, compensation, benefits, total rewards, organisation effectiveness, WH&S;, employee and industrial relations and organisation design
- Sound understanding and knowledge of Work Health & Safety standards essential, preferably within the hospitality/food industry (laws and legislation)
- Strong communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and time management skills
- Strong planning, directing, leading, and collaboration skills
