Your new company Working for a global Engineering and Technical Services organisation operating within highly specialised and complex environments. With a strong presence across engineering, manufacturing and technical services, this business supports a skilled workforce across Australia of 120 employees. Based in the Sutherland Shire area of Sydney, this role supports circa 60 employees in Sydney.

Following recent growth and organisational changes, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR qualified to join the team in a newly elevated HR Advisor position.

Your new role

Reporting to an HR Manager, you will operate as the dedicated HR resource for the Sydney workforce of 60 employees, supporting a diverse employee group across engineering, technical, production and corporate functions. This is a true HR generalist position combining advisory, recruitment and HR administration responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing and onboarding
- Partnering with hiring managers to provide recruitment and people management support
- Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Providing first-line HR advice on employee relations and workplace matters
- Assisting with workplace investigations and policy interpretation
- Maintaining employee records, HR documentation and HRIS management
- HR administration and compliance
- Supporting the wider HR team with project delivery, including potential HRIS integration support
- Building strong relationships with managers and employees across the business
- Coordinating cultural activities, engagement programs and employee wellbeing initiatives





What you'll need to succeed
- To be successful, you will be a hands-on HR Advisor or Senior HR Coordinator who enjoys balancing advisory responsibilities with recruitment and HR administration.
- You will be happy and thrive in working in autonomous roles and in a smaller business culture
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Experience in end-to-end recruitment is essential
- Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, modern award interpretation and HR policies and processes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record of partnering with senior leaders in previous or current role
- Experience working with HR systems and employee data would be advantageous
- Australian Citizenship is required due to the nature of the organisation's operations.
