· support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role The Human Resources Officer implements, monitors, coordinates and supports a broad range of human resources functional areas, services, projects and initiatives with a primary emphasis on payroll administration to support ACECQA’s operations.

This role is full-time and fixed term to 30 June 2027 at ACECQA Band 4 ($91,867- $102,446).

The key duties of the position include:

Key Accountabilities

· Coordinate and execute administrative tasks associated with the payroll cycle and maintenance of ACECQA’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ichris, including maintaining accurate employee records to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulations and provide payroll information to employees.

· Manage the HR Enquiries inbox, ensuring all requests are responded to in a timely manner, proactively developing customer relationships,



resolving moderately complex issues and, anticipating and providing solutions to meet customer needs.

· Manage the preparation of HR documentation as required, including offer letters, contract extensions, temporary appointment letters and assisting with recruitment activities as required.

· Assist in processing the payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.

· Support the collection of data and assist in the preparation of standard reports and analysis to support management decision making and effectiveness.

· Create and maintain ACECQA’s personnel and payroll files, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

· Provide information on HR policies and procedures, including through email enquiries and internal communications, to enhance and promote ACECQA’s effectiveness.

· Develop and maintain internal networks and relationships to lead and encourage managers and team members to follow examples set according to ACECQA’s policies and procedures.

Eligibility

Key Selection Criteria

· Sound knowledge, skills and experience working in a Public Sector HR environment supported by a qualification or equivalent work experience.

· Proficient user of business and human resources tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office, HR/payroll software, and electronic document management tools.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and share relevant information in order to achieve organisational goals.

· Demonstrated ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner using a variety of written and oral styles.





· Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to identify patterns and relationships and apply solutions to typical problems in a human resources environment.
