What you'll do

Manage low to medium cost/risk ICT procurement and contract management activities to enhance strategic focus and ensure probity and accountability of the process aligns with Queensland Procurement Policy and other standards and legislative requirements.

Work under the direction of Procurement and Contract Managers to assist with high cost/risk ICT procurement and contract management activities .

Draft, develop, negotiate, and execute Queensland Information Technology Contracting contracts for the supply of ICT products and services.

Provide high-level advice to clients in a relevant, timely and accurate manner on matters relating to the contract management and procurement related functions.

Plan procurement processes, draft sourcing documentation, manage release and evaluation processes in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and departmental policies and procedures.

Develop, implement, and effectively manage review of supplier management and contract improvement strategies.

Advise, guide and mentor branch staff on State and department procurement and contract management policies and practices, internal branch processes and templates used to deliver ICT procurement and contract management services to clients.

Research and prepare submissions, complex reports, briefing materials and correspondence, and advice to senior management on matters relating to the procurement and contract management function.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing contemporary procurement and contract management strategies, policies and practices particularly in relation to ICT. (SFIA: PROC Level 5)

Achieves results: Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills to identify and analyse issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex ICT procurement and contract management issues (SFAI: SURE Level 4)

Displays personal drive and integrity: Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality ICT procurement outcomes and manage conflicting priorities and tight timeframes.

Communicates with influence: Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including the ability to advise and influence clients and senior management on complex ICT procurement and contract management issues (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
