About The Role As an Impact Assessment Lead, you will play a key role within Fyfe's Victorian planning and approvals team, helping to grow our planning capability and strengthen our presence in the Victorian market. The role will focus primarily on major infrastructure and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, transmission and data centre developments. You will navigate complex planning and approvals processes and provide strategic advice to clients across a diverse range of projects.

The impact you will have

- Leading impact assessment services: Lead Fyfe's impact assessment and planning approvals services across Victoria, with a focus on infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- Growing team capability: Support the growth of the Victorian planning team through hiring, mentoring, coaching and capability development.
- Building relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, government agencies and referral authorities.
- Providing strategic advice: Advise on planning approval pathways, planning scheme amendments, Environmental Effects Statement processes and other regulatory matters.
- Delivering major projects: Lead or oversee planning inputs on major projects, ensuring high-quality and practical outcomes for clients.
- Supporting business growth:



Identify opportunities, prepare proposals and contribute to winning new work.
- Monitoring industry change: Stay informed about Victorian planning reforms and policy changes relevant to the sectors in which Fyfe operates.
- Working collaboratively: Partner with colleagues, clients and specialists across disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.

About You

- A tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Planning or a related discipline. Planning Institute of Australia membership will be highly regarded.
- Significant experience in town planning, impact assessment or development approvals, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Experience working on major infrastructure and/or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of Victorian planning legislation, planning schemes and approval processes.
- Commercial awareness and a strong understanding of client and project needs.
- The ability to build trusted client relationships and represent the business professionally.
- Experience growing, mentoring and supporting planning teams.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and practical approach to solving complex planning and approval challenges.
