Project Overview
We are looking for L1 Field Engineers to support an Access Point Refresh Project for Pandora stores. The activity involves replacing existing Access Points with recent Meraki Access Points on a plug-and-play basis.
Key Responsibilities
Remove the existing Access Point and install the new Meraki Access Point.
Connect and power on the new Access Point.
Follow the provided Sapient runbook for the replacement and testing process.
Perform basic testing and troubleshooting as required.
Coordinate with the remote network team to confirm connectivity.
Coordinate with the store Point of Contact during the visit.
Carry a laptop, charger,
and Cat6 patch cable for testing and troubleshooting.
Use the ladder available at the store to access the Access Point. If a ladder is unavailable, the situation will be managed separately.
Re-patch existing cabling where required.
If time permits, tidy up the network rack or re-patch for better cable management.
Leave the old Access Point with the store Point of Contact. Disposal is not part of the engineer's responsibility.
Update the project tracker after completing the visit.
Obtain store sign-off where possible, or ensure completion is confirmed through the remote team.
Completion Criteria The visit will be considered complete when:
The old AP has been removed.
The new Meraki AP has been installed and powered.
Connectivity has been confirmed with the remote team.
Store sign-off has been obtained where possible.
The project tracker has been updated
