Peripatetic Term-Time Music Tutor Roles

The College is seeking expressions of interest from experienced music professionals with the following specialties:
- Violin tutor and ability to direct at least one ensemble
- Double bass tutor and ability to direct at least one ensemble
- Low brass tutor and ability to direct at least one ensemble
The number of tutoring sessions offered will depend on the instrument and role, with students being drawn from junior and senior school. About You To be considered for this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to engaging students whilst tutoring the instrument and be keen to promote and assist in the College’s cocurricular Music programs. Previous music tutoring in a primary and/or secondary school setting is desirable.
You are qualified and experienced in providing vocal or instrumental tutoring and able to motivate students of differing levels of ability and make appropriate adjustments in tutoring methodology where required.
You can demonstrate your experience and ability to monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback, as well as completing instrumental semester reports. You can also identify maintenance required on instruments and provide basic maintenance support and guidance to your students.
