Role Description The Interior Design Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Coburg, VIC. The consultant will meet with clients to understand their requirements, develop design concepts, and create proposals that align with budget, style, and functional needs.

Day-to-day tasks include selecting furniture and finishes, preparing mood boards and layouts, coordinating product orders, and liaising with suppliers and trades to ensure timely delivery and installation. The role also involves providing expert design advice in the showroom, supporting sales discussions, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring a high standard of customer service and follow-up.



The consultant will work collaboratively with the broader team to deliver projects on schedule and support the overall client experience.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client expectations professionally.
- Proficiency in interior design, including space planning, color coordination, and selection of finishes and furnishings.
- Experience in sales, with the ability to present design concepts, explain product options, and support closing opportunities.
- Knowledge of furniture, materials, and product specifications relevant to residential and commercial interiors.
- Relevant qualification in Interior Design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Comfort working on-site in a showroom or studio environment and collaborating with suppliers and trades.
- Familiarity with design tools or software (e.g., CAD, design visualization tools, or similar) is an advantage.
