Griffin Hospitality Group is a growing hospitality group operating multiple venues across South East Queensland, and we’re looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team working 3 days a week.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys keeping things organised, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll play an important role in keeping our financial administration running smoothly across the group.

About the Role

This is an office based role working closely with our Financial Controller and Venue Managers, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day bookkeeping functions across our hospitality venues.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing and reconciling accounts payable
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Processing function deposits and following up with unpaid deposits and invoices
- Daily takings, POS, gaming, EFTPOS and cash reconciliations across venues
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Data entry and transaction processing
- Weekly payroll for permanent, casual and award based staff, including STP and superannuation.
- Stock reconciliations and reporting
- Helping to improve and streamline our finance processes
- Assisting with end-of-month processes
- Collaborating with the Financial Controller with budgets, forecasts and financial reports

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and takes ownership of their work.

You will ideally have:

- Minimum 5+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably within hospitality, retail or a multi-site business




- A qualification in Bookkeeping or Accounting (Desirable)
- Availability to work 3 day a week, Tuesday is a must the other 2 days are flexible
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Experience with stocktaking on Swiftpos (Desirable)
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero
- Experience with hospitality POS, Gaming and daily taking platforms such as Max Gaming, Odyssey, SwiftPos or similar
- Experience with payroll using the Hospitality Award
- Ability to manage multiple venues and deadlines
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with financial and employee information
