An opportunity exists at our Canberra foodservice branch located at Hume for fulltime Freezer & Dry stores Forklift Operators.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position requires the applicant to efficiently & safely transport stock to various locations within the warehouse as required, put away received stock, pick & assemble goods, maintain bin locations, load trucks & maintain general tidiness of the facility.

This is a physical position with some heavy lifting. Training will be provided with an immediate start available.

Duties

Lift, stack & unstack goods using a high reach electric forklift

Adhere to time constraints & maintain product integrity

Perform other related duties as directed by Operations Manager

Skills and Experience required

A current forklift licence (essential)

Be physically fit

Valuable written and verbal communications skills

Ability to work in the freezer storage area at minus 25 degrees temperatures

Previous warehouse experience desirable but not essential
