Casual Support Worker Opportunities - join our Lifestyle Options (LSO) or Community Connections Team At McCallum, we partner with our customers to create their best lives. As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in delivering personalised, high-quality support to ensure our participants live a life of choice, independence and dignity. n

In our LSO program we provide 1:1 support so our participants can live independently (week-day and weekends, 7.00am-8.00pm with most hours available between 7.30am-11.00am and 3pm onwards). The focus of that support is to empower participants to have as much control in their own life as possible, enabling a wide range of activities both in the home and community.

In our Community Connections program we provide planned daily activities and outings for people during Monday - Friday (8.45am-3.30pm). This is a rewarding and wide-ranging role, supporting our customers to achieve their specific goals and outcomes which may include social, leisure, creative and/or life skills.

We are looking for individuals who: n

- Have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of people living with disabilities
n
- Are available to work flexible hours (see above each programs operating hours)
n




- Have excellent communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships
n
- Have experience in Disability Support work – advantageous but not essential as we will provide training for the right candidate/s
n
- Understand that each participant has a unique journey and requires a person-centred approach
n

Skills and Experience nn
- A Valid Victorian Drivers License
n
- An e-learning Completion Certificatefor the NDIS 'Quality, Safety & You' module (free to register online)
n
- HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate - future refreshers are paid by McCallum
n
- Cert IV in Disability or relevant industry experience (favourable but not essential)
