ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a driven, people-focused professional to coordinate internship placements within our Professional Year Programs. These programs support international graduates from Australian universities and tertiary institutions by connecting them with real workplace opportunities and practical job-ready skills.

This role will strongly appeal to candidates with a background in sales, partnerships, or business development who enjoy building relationships, opening doors, and creating win-win outcomes for businesses and emerging talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Proactively build and grow relationships with employers to secure high-quality internship placement opportunities.
- Manage and strengthen ongoing partnerships with existing host organisations.
- Represent NIT at industry forums, networking events, university open days,



and employer engagement activities to identify new opportunities and promote our programs.
- Assess, interview, and shortlist candidates for internship placements, ensuring a strong match between intern and host organisation.
- Deliver internship briefing sessions and guide candidates through placement expectations.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure internships are delivered smoothly and professionally.
- Conduct workplace visits to support interns and host companies, monitor progress, and resolve any issues.
- Coach participants in employability and workplace skills, including resume development, interview preparation, professional communication, and job search strategies.

This is a full-time role (38 hours per week) and includes occasional Saturday work and attendance at evening industry events.

SELECTION CRITERIA

- Proven experience in business development, sales, partnerships, recruitment, or a similar relationship-driven role.
- Robust ability to build trust and long-term relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service mindset with a focus on outcomes and value creation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work to targets, and meet deadlines.
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Eligible to work full-time in Australia.
- High level of computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
