: Java MuleSoft Developer

Experience: 6-8+ years in Java, MuleSoft integration and API development with Java Spring boot experience

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Java and MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and support secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications and APIs. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in

Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform , along with experience across API-led connectivity, system integration, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and production support. The successful candidate will work with business stakeholders, architects, technical leads, DevOps engineers, and geographically distributed delivery teams to deliver end-to-end integration and application solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement APIs using API-led connectivity (Experience, Process, and System APIs) on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, backend services, and reusable application components.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and clean-code practices.
- Implement application-level validation, exception handling, logging, security, and transaction management.




- Hand on working experience on Github copilot
- Hand on working experience on Github workflow
- Develop integrations with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), file systems (NAS), and cloud applications (Salesforce, ServiceNow).
- Perform complex data transformations using DataWeave (JSON, XML, CSV, Base64, binary).
- Deploy APIs securely on MuleSoft CloudHub
- Implement encryption and security protocols: TLS 1.2, OAuth 2.0, Two-way SSL, PGP/JCI encryption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Write MUnit test cases and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, CircleCI, Maven.
- Maintain detailed documentation and participate in code reviews
- Work closely with tech lead / architect and align day to day development activities
- Work closely with onsite customer stakeholders for project deliverables

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Design Center.
- Experience in working in end-2-end delivery including Requirement Analysis, Creating HLD & LLD, effort estimation, End-2-End Development & Testing, Deployment, Hyper-Care around MuleSoft
- Experience in Java Spring boot Microservices, API Gateway
- Strong command of DataWeave 2.0 and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with SOAP/REST web services, XML, XSLT, and cloud APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools: GitHub, Maven, CircleCI, Nexus.
- Hands-on with Mule connectors: HTTP, Database, File, JMS, Anypoint MQ, Object Store
- Experience in global deployments and batch processing for enterprise systems.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
- Experience using tools like SOAP UI/Postman, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub.




- Participate in the peer review process to assist others in improving their code, and listening to ideas from others
- Deliver quality code and exhibit expertise in analysis, development & unit testing in a complex application environment.
- Background in both waterfall & agile ways-of-working.
- Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions/Jenkins/Azure DevOps, artifact versioning, environment promotion, and automated quality gates.
- Observability with Anypoint Monitoring / New Relic, dashboards, log correlation, and proactive alerting.
- Building APIs using GitHub Copilot, MuleSoft Vibes, and Einstein for developer productivity and insight generation.
- Strong grasp of integration patterns (sync/async, pub‑sub, CQRS, batch), error handling, retries, idempotency, and circuit breakers

Qualification

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Developer/Integration Architect) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality deliverables: clean code, reusable assets, documentation, and runbooks.
