About the role

You'll provide individualised support to a great guy who experiences right-sided weakness, mild aphasia and mild cognitive impairment — and help him live life on his terms. You'll be backed by a supportive SIL team, but we're also looking for someone with the confidence and initiative to fly solo when it counts.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting daily living activities and routines

- Championing independence and choice within the home

- Getting out and about — community access and local outings

- Bridging communication gaps where mild aphasia creates barriers

- Encouraging social participation based on what actually lights him up

- Keeping the home safe, comfortable and running smoothly (domestic assistance included)

- Following individual support plans, risk assessments and organisational procedures

- Nailing your documentation — progress notes and incident reporting

- Working hand-in-hand with the broader support and management team

- Active and inactive overnight shifts as required

About you

- Experience in disability support, SIL or community support

- Person-centred, participant-led care approach

- Ability to respect personal space while staying switched on





- Comfortable flying solo and making smart calls on shift

- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team

- Reliable, professional and consistent — every shift, every time

- Take initiative without ever taking over

- Genuinely interested in community-based support and helping people build meaningful routines

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- Working with Children Check/Blue Card (where applicable)
