About the Role

Spartan Group is seeking a motivated Junior Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our workshop team in Ormeau. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has some experience in metal fabrication, welding or boilermaking and is looking to further develop their skills while working on a wide range of heavy machinery, cranes, structural components and lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform welding, cutting and fabrication of steel components
- Modify and repair crane and lifting equipment parts
- Assist with fabrication and repairs of heavy machinery and structural components
- MIG welding, grinding, cutting and drilling
- Measure, mark and prepare materials for fabrication
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Operate workshop machinery, power tools and hand tools
- Assist qualified boilermakers and tradespeople as required
- Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working workplace

About You

- Has basic MIG welding skills




- Has previous exposure to fabrication, welding or boilermaking
- Is comfortable using grinders, drills, saws and general workshop equipment
- Has good mechanical aptitude and enjoys hands-on work
- Can accurately measure and follow instructions
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Has a strong attitude towards workplace safety
- A current driver's licence is preferred
