About the role

AA Cabinetry is seeking a Junior Draftsman/Cabinet Maker to join our growing team in Smithfield, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in both design and hands-on cabinet making. You will work closely with our experienced team to learn the intricacies of bespoke cabinetry design, technical drafting, and quality craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in creating detailed technical drawings and designs for bespoke cabinet projects using CAD software
- Support the production team in the workshop, learning and executing quality cabinet making techniques
- Prepare material lists and cutting schedules based on approved designs
- Contribute to the fabrication of cabinet components, including cutting, machining, assembly and finishing
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards





What we're looking for

- No prior experience required,
- Enthusiasm for learning and developing expertise in cabinet making and design
- Proficiency or willingness to develop skills in CAD software and design programs
- Robust attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent spatial reasoning and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Good communication skills and customer service awareness
- A valid driver's licence is desirable for site visits and client consultations
