The Chance:

We are seeking an immediate start for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team member to assist with all aspects of our farm operations, including, but not limited to: weed and pest management, harvest operations, earth moving and land improvement as well as general machinery maintenance. The successful candidate will be involved in upgrading our operations to improve yields, soil quality and farm process improvement. In addition the successful candidate will be involved in the maintenance and upkeep of the farm and farming machinery, as well as meeting safety requirements and standards.

We require a commitment of about 40 hours per week, with the ability to be flexible and work long hours during our busy times of April and May and November and December.

You have

- A strong work ethic
- A current driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills and a cheerful disposition,
- An interest in mechanics and welding, and
- An interest in heavy machinery
- A desire for a long term career in agriculture In addition:
- You enjoy the prospect to undertake responsibilities in a timely manner, using your initiative where possible, but seeking assistance as required,
- You understand and respect operating procedures, but like to share ideas for improvement,
- You enjoy preventative maintenance and care for machinery,
- You enjoy learning new skills,




- You are clean and tidy.

About Our Organisation:

Slade Grain Pty Ltd is a progressive cropping operation, farming on Southern Yorke Peninsula. Our cropping program consists of wheat, barley, canola and lentils. We utilise the latest technology and infrastructure to ensure our operation is efficient, sustainable, and enjoyable.
