We're seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our team and support the design, maintenance, and evolution of our network infrastructure. This is a excellent opportunity for someone early in their networking career to develop hands-on skills in a real-world telecommunications environment, working alongside experienced engineers.

About the Opportunity

This position supports the implementation and day-to-day maintenance of network solutions, assists with troubleshooting network issues, and helps monitor network performance as the business grows. You'll work closely with senior engineers and internal teams, building your skills across a broad range of network technologies while contributing to operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in building and maintaining Swoop's network infrastructure under guidance from senior engineers





- Support cross-team efforts to improve network performance and reliability

- Help develop technical documentation and support project deliverables

- Investigate and troubleshoot routine network issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers or vendors

- Assist with hardware setup and configuration based on established design requirements

- Support procurement processes for network resources

- Help monitor network performance and assist with upgrades to support growth

- Document network architecture and contribute to knowledge base and process improvements

- Provide first-line technical support to customers

About You

- Some experience or strong foundational knowledge in networking, gained through study, certifications, an internship, or entry-level IT/telecommunications work

- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L3VPN, QoS, and an interest in learning radio PtP/PtMP systems

- Exposure to or willingness to learn equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, HPE, Mikrotik, and A10

- Eagerness to develop scripting skills and gain project exposure in a technology setting

- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA) desirable but not essential
