Junior Recruiter / Administration Coordinator
Part time Initially | Maternity Leave Cover | Recruitment & Administration
CMTL Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Recruiter / Administration Coordinator to join our growing team.
This position will initially commence on a part-time basis, providing recruitment and administrative support to the team. The role will then increase in hours to assist with maternity leave cover, giving the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience across recruitment, mobilisation and administration.
This role would suit someone who has some previous recruitment or administration experience and is looking to build a career within the recruitment industry.
Experience within mining, civil construction, labour hire, logistics, warehousing or hospitality would be advantageous but is not essential.

About the Role
As our Junior Recruiter / Administration Coordinator, you will work closely with the CMTL team and receive support while developing your recruitment and administration skills.
Initially, your focus will be on assisting with candidate communication, recruitment administration, compliance documentation and general office duties.
As you become more confident in the role, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities across candidate sourcing, recruitment, mobilisation and client communication.
With the position progressing into maternity leave cover, we are looking for someone who is keen to learn the role and gradually take on more responsibility.
Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include
- Creating and posting job advertisements
- Searching for potential candidates through recruitment platforms
- Contacting candidates regarding available opportunities
- Conducting initial phone screenings
- Scheduling interviews and following up with candidates
- Updating and formatting candidate resumes
- Preparing candidate information for client submission
- Collecting tickets, licences, medicals and other compliance documentation
- Maintaining accurate candidate and employee records
- Assisting with employee onboarding
- Assisting with mobilisation requirements, including flights, accommodation, rosters and site information
- Conducting reference checks
- Responding to phone and email enquiries
- Assisting with timesheets and payroll administration where required
- General office and recruitment administration
- Supporting the wider CMTL team with day-to-day requirements
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has some previous recruitment, administration or customer service experience
- Is interested in developing a career in recruitment
- Has strong communication and people skills
- Is confident speaking with people over the phone
- Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Has good attention to detail
- Is comfortable using computers, email and Microsoft Office
- Is reliable, professional and willing to learn
- Can take direction while also using initiative
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Is willing to take on additional responsibilities as they develop in the role
- Has flexibility to increase their hours during the maternity leave cover period
