Key Worker – Experienced Disability Support Worker

Take the next step in your disability support career. Cohort Staffing is seeking an experienced male Disability Support Worker or current Supervisor to step into a Key Worker role within an all-male home supporting clients with high physical support needs.

This is an opportunity for an experienced worker who is confident supporting complex physical needs and ready to take on greater responsibility within the home.

Due to the nature of the support provided, including personal and physical support requirements, we are specifically seeking a male Support Worker for this position.

This is an experienced-only role and is not suited to entry-level applicants.

About the Role

As a Key Worker, you will take greater ownership of the day-to-day support of clients, including:

- Providing person-centred support to clients with high physical needs
- Supporting personal care, mobility, transfers and daily living
- Ensuring client routines, preferences and support plans are followed
- Building strong and consistent relationships with clients
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress notes
- Communicating with supervisors, families and the wider support team
- Following up on client needs and key worker responsibilities
- Supporting consistency across the team and leading by example

About You

We are looking for someone with strong, proven disability support experience who is ready to step up into a Key Worker role.

You will have

- Experience supporting people with high or complex physical needs
- Strong personal care and manual handling experience
- Experience in SIL,



residential or similar disability settings
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- A reliable, professional and mature approach
- The confidence to take ownership and support other team members

Availability

Part-time with the opportunity for up to full time hours. You must be available to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons/evenings, sleepovers/overnights, weekends and public holidays.

Essential Requirements

- Proven disability support experience
- Experience with high physical support needs
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Strong manual handling skills
- Australian working rights
- Reliable transport
- Availability across all shifts
