Kitchen Attendant – The Albion Hotel, Wickham

Perched on the corner in the heart of Newcastle, The Albion Hotel sits at the end of the line, just a short stroll from the Wickham transport hub and only moments from the harbour.

Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, it’s the kind of place you can settle in for a proper pub meal or a quiet drink with a mate. There’s always something happening at The Albion, whether you’re dropping in with family, friends or the whole crew.

The Albion Hotel is a welcoming local pub in Wickham, Newcastle. We’re looking for a Kitchen Attendant to support our chefs and help keep the kitchen running smoothly.

The Role

This is a casual role for around 20 hours per week, with shifts mostly on nights and weekends. The hours could suit someone studying or looking for a second job.

Key Responsibilities

- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised




- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating
- Restock supplies and dispose of rubbish
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Help the team during busy service periods

About You

- Reliable, organised and willing to pitch in
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen
- Able to communicate well and work as part of a team
- Available for night and weekend shifts
- Kitchen experience is welcome, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as significant
