We’re looking for a professional Kitchen Assistant to join our production team at Pinto.

You’ll be responsible for completing production tasks efficiently, safely and to the standard expected in our kitchen.

This is not an entry-level kitchen role. We’re looking for someone who already understands how a professional commercial kitchen operates and can confidently use commercial equipment without needing constant supervision.

The role

You’ll be responsible for

· Completing production tasks set by the Kitchen Supervisor or Production Manager

· Assisting with the preparation and production of our desserts

· Operating commercial ovens, mixers and other kitchen equipment safely

· Using kitchen utensils and equipment correctly and efficiently

· Following recipes, procedures and production instructions accurately

· Maintaining consistent quality and presentation

· Working efficiently to meet daily production targets

· Keeping your workstation clean and organised

· Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures

· Assisting the wider kitchen team when required

· Maintaining the qualified standards expected within the Pinto kitchen

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:





· Has at least 1 year of experience working in a commercial kitchen or food production environment

· Has their Food Handling Safety certificate

· Is confident using commercial ovens, mixers and standard kitchen equipment

· Understands professional kitchen procedures and expectations

· Can follow instructions accurately

· Works quickly without sacrificing quality

· Is reliable, organised and punctual

· Has strong attention to detail

· Works well as part of a team

· Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organised

· Is comfortable receiving direction and feedback from supervisors

· Has a professional attitude toward kitchen work

· Pastry, bakery or dessert production experience would be highly regarded.

What we expect

We run a professional production kitchen and expect everyone on the team to work to a high standard.

You’ll be given clear tasks by your supervisor or manager and expected to complete them properly,

efficiently and within the required timeframe.

We’re looking for someone who comes to work ready to work, takes responsibility for their tasks and contributes positively to the team.

Pay: $34.76 – $41.72 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 24.0 per week
