The Co Accountants & Business Advisors Pty Ltd – Greensborough VIC

Our client, who is in the construction industry, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Process and manage end-to-end payroll across all entities, including timesheets, superannuation, PAYG withholding and compliance with relevant awards/agreements
n
- Own accounts payable and bill management — invoice processing, approval workflows, payment runs, supplier reconciliations and query resolution
n
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
n
- Monitor and report on cash flow across the group, flagging risks and opportunities
n
- Support budgeting and forecasting
n
- Maintain accurate, well-controlled financial records and ledgers in Xero
n
- Liaise with the group's external accountants, auditors and advisors as required
n
- Identify and implement process, systems and technology improvements as the business grows
n
- Provide timely financial insight to support day-to-day and strategic decision-making
n





About you nn
- CPA/CA qualified, or well progressed towards completion
n
- 3+ years' experience in a management accounting or finance role, ideally across multiple entities or a group structure
n
- Experience in construction or similar project-based industry is highly regarded
n
- Hands-on, current experience running payroll and accounts payable
n
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, plus advanced Excel skills
n
- Comfortable getting the best out of accounting and payroll systems, add-ons and reporting tools, and quick to pick up and champion current technology
n
- High standards, low ego, and a track record of getting things done without needing to be chased
n
