A progressive engineering consultancy in Newcastle is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3–8 years of local experience to join their growing team, delivering urban development and council infrastructure projects under flexible 4-day working arrangements.

About the Position

Design and deliver urban development, subdivision, council, and commercial site projects.

Produce detailed models and documentation for stormwater, drainage, and road infrastructure.

Work closely with local councils, authorities, and project stakeholders to secure approvals.

Collaborate directly with a Newcastle Principal Civil Engineer to manage project workflows.

Key Responsibilities Include

Complete detailed civil designs utilising Civil 3D or 12D software packages.

Prepare comprehensive stormwater management strategies and site layout plans.





Coordinate engineering submissions to meet council design guidelines and Australian standards.

Conduct site inspections and provide technical input during construction phases.

Skills and Experience Required

Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Demonstrate 3 to 8 years of post-graduate experience within Australian civil consulting.

Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12D software for land development and infrastructure design.

Strong knowledge of local Newcastle and Hunter region council planning frameworks.

Proven background in subdivisions, road design, and stormwater management systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team coordination.
